Children in foster care are involved with multiple systems and providers who have the potential to contribute greatly to a family’s recovery and resiliency from trauma. By communicating regularly with individuals and systems regarding the needs and care of children and families at ASCF, we attempt to create a collaborative, cohesive, and supportive child- and family-serving team that is united in its purpose to improve child and family functioning and well-being.
ASCF staff work to accomplish this through the following ways:
- Initiating routine Child and Family Team Meetings among families and other service providers to ensure sharing of information and coordination of care
- Attending school meetings, court, and staffings
- Linking and referring children and families to needed services and supports
