Community Trauma Training

ASCF’s multidisciplinary team provides training in trauma and trauma-informed care to diverse community audiences, including mental health clinicians, Guardian ad Litem (GAL) volunteers, parents, and child welfare professionals. In addition, ASCF partners with national experts trained in specialized trauma modalities to deliver in-depth training on trauma-informed practices to the community.

ARC Learning Collaborative

All Star Children’s Foundation (ASCF) is pleased to offer a 2026 Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Learning Collaborative free of cost for agencies across Manatee, Desoto, and Sarasota counties serving youth and families impacted by adversity and trauma. The goal of this year-long training initiative is to bring the ARC framework to community agencies across Florida’s Circuit 12 (Manatee, Desoto, and Sarasota counties) serving families impacted by trauma. Together, agencies will learn new ideas, share what’s working, problem-solve through challenges, and try out new trauma-informed strategies in their day-to-day work. The 2026 ARC Learning Collaborative will create shared approaches and language across agencies in their efforts toward implementing and sustaining trauma-informed care.

Trauma-Informed Training

As part of its mission, ASCF aims to educate professionals on trauma, its impact on children and families, and how to interact with children and families in sensitive, supportive, and trauma-informed ways.

Evidence-Based Dissemination

All Star Children’s Foundation (ASCF) is committed to evidence-based practices and strives to enhance community access to trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions for vulnerable families. Children in the child welfare system who have experienced trauma deserve specialized, high-quality care to meet their complex needs. ASCF provides scholarships for trainings and has hosted trauma-informed trainings on campus, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to community mental health clinicians, empowering them to deliver effective services to at-risk children and families.
