Mental Health Clinician

ASCF is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Mental Health Clinician to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed screening, assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention to children and families impacted by abuse, neglect, and child welfare involvement. This role is essential to ensuring comprehensive, high-quality, trauma-informed care for every child and family served, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team model.

A successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Preferred: Experience working in community-based, group home, or residential settings
  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related Human Services field
  • Current licensure in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist), Registered Intern status with the Florida Board, or eligibility for licensure with active pursuit of Registered Intern status with the Florida Board
  • Preferred: Minimum of two years of post-master’s supervised experience providing intervention and treatment to children and families impacted by trauma
  • Demonstrated familiarity with evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions for children and families
  • Preferred: Certification or advanced training in evidence-based trauma treatments and frameworks (e.g., TF-CBT, EMDR, PCIT, ARC, MI, TBRI)
  • Experience administering trauma screenings and assessment measures, conducting clinical interviews, and performing behavioral observation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in electronic health record documentation in compliance with Medicaid standards
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team across the client’s clinical journey
  • Knowledge of child abuse and neglect, the child welfare system, and adoption processes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed services across outpatient, community, campus, and telehealth settings while maintaining fidelity to ASCF program models
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-focused screenings and assessments to evaluate children’s emotional, behavioral, and social functioning
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized, strength-based treatment plans
  • Support therapeutic transitions and promote placement stability for children and families
  • Engage and collaborate with birth families, foster families, and other caregivers to support treatment goals and reinforce trauma-informed parenting practices
  • Provide clinical case management, including care coordination, active participation in child-focused team meetings, and collaboration with systems to ensure continuity and integration of care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case planning meetings, team huddles, and ongoing supervision to support clinical decision-making and team alignment
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards and insurance requirements
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
  • Provide trauma-informed training and educational workshops for staff, caregivers, and community partners

Development Director

The Development Director executes the organization’s development strategy through donor stewardship, cultivation, fundraising operations, and relationship management. The role manages portfolios of annual and mid‑level donors, oversees stewardship systems, and supports fundraising initiatives that advance ASCF’s mission and sustainability.

A successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred.
  • 4–6 years of nonprofit development or business development experience.
  • Experience managing CRM or donor databases.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to ethical fundraising practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and cultivate a portfolio of annual and mid‑level donors.
  • Design and implement donor stewardship plans.
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgments and recognition.
  • Maintain donor database and CRM systems.
  • Support fundraising campaigns such as Annual Fund, Giving Challenge, and Giving Tuesday.
  • Assist with planning and execution of donor engagement events and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Conduct donor research and prospect identification.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on development priorities and strategy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills may include scheduling with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to multitask while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Task-oriented and able to manage time efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Work independently to complete tasks accurately and with attention to detail, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
